By downloading, installing, or using the 5M Auth application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

5M Auth is a self-custody digital identity wallet that allows you to:

• Create and manage a blockchain-based digital identity.
• Authenticate with third-party services using your wallet.
• Store personal information locally on your device.
• Control what data you share during authentication.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use 5M Auth. By using the application, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Wallet Responsibility

5M Auth is a self-custody wallet. This means:

• You are solely responsible for safeguarding your private key.
• 5M ehf. does not have access to your private key and cannot recover it if lost.
• You are responsible for maintaining backups of your private key.
• Any loss of access due to lost or compromised private keys is your responsibility.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use 5M Auth to:

• Engage in any unlawful activity or violate applicable laws.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any service or system.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the application.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of 5M Auth is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your data. Key points:

• Personal data is stored locally on your device.
• Private keys never leave your device.
• Diagnostic data may be collected to improve the service.
• You control what information is shared with third-party services.

7. Third-Party Services

5M Auth enables authentication with third-party services. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or terms of any third-party service you interact with through the application.

8. Intellectual Property

The 5M Auth application, including its design, code, logos, and content, is the intellectual property of 5M ehf. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for its intended purpose.

9. Disclaimers

The application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. 5M ehf. does not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 5M ehf. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application.

10. Termination

You may stop using 5M Auth at any time by deleting the application and your wallet data. 5M ehf. reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Reykjavik, Iceland.

12. Changes to Terms

5M ehf. reserves the right to update these Terms of Service. We will notify users of material changes through the application. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
